Welcome to TheraFind! By accessing or using our online counselling services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”). These T&Cs form a binding agreement between you (the “Client”) and TheraFind (the “Platform”).

 

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services provided by the Platform. If you do not agree with any part of these T&Cs, you should not access or use the Platform.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any other policies, guidelines, or terms of service that may apply to specific services provided by the Platform.

 

2. Services Provided

The Platform allows you to connect with licensed therapists who provide online counselling and therapy services. The services are provided through video and audio communication as agreed upon by both parties. The Platform does not provide therapy directly but facilitates connections between therapists and clients.

 

3. Client Responsibilities

As a Client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date personal information when creating your account.

  • Attend scheduled therapy sessions or cancel/reschedule sessions with reasonable notice (as specified by your therapist or the platform).

  • Ensure you are in a private and secure environment for virtual sessions, minimizing distractions and ensuring confidentiality.

  • Pay all fees for services as outlined by the Platform, including any applicable session charges.

  • Refrain from engaging in any unlawful behavior, harassment, or abusive language during therapy sessions.

 

4. Therapist Selection

The Platform provides a directory of licensed therapists, but the responsibility to choose a therapist best suited to your needs is solely yours. The Platform does not guarantee specific results, and it is your responsibility to ensure the therapist meets your expectations and requirements.

 

5. Confidentiality and Privacy

The Platform is committed to protecting your privacy and confidentiality in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Therapists are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all personal and health-related information shared during sessions. However, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your own login details and any other personal information associated with your account.

 

Therapists may only disclose confidential information if required by law or in situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

 

6. Payment, Fees, & Cancellations

The Platform operates on a prepayment basis, where fees for sessions will be clearly communicated prior to booking. Payments for counselling services will be processed through the Platform. Clients are responsible for ensuring payment is made in order to book a counselling session. Each therapist on the Platform sets their own pricing for services provided. The Platform does not control or dictate the fees charged by individual therapists, and prices may vary depending on the therapist's qualifications, experience, and the type of services offered. Before booking a session, Clients will be informed of the applicable fees for the therapist’s services. It is the Client’s responsibility to review and agree to the therapist's pricing prior to scheduling a session.

 

At TheraFind, we understand that sometimes schedules may change unexpectedly. To ensure a fair and efficient experience for both Therapists and Clients, we have implemented the following cancellation and rescheduling policies:

 

  • Notice Requirement: Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled session time if they wish to cancel. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50%.

  • No-Show Policy: If a Client does not attend the session and does not notify the Therapist within the required cancellation notice period, the full session fee will be charged.

  • Therapist Cancellations: If a Therapist needs to cancel or reschedule a session, they must notify the Client as soon as possible and, if applicable, provide the Client with the option to reschedule at no extra charge. In the event of a last-minute cancellation by the Therapist, the Client will not be charged for the session.

 

7. Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by notifying the Platform in writing. The Platform may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms and Conditions.

 

8. Platform Liability

While the Platform strives to ensure the availability and functionality of its services, we do not guarantee that access to the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. The Platform is not liable for any damages, losses, or interruptions caused by technical issues, failures in communication, or any other factors outside the Platform's control.

The Platform is also not responsible for the outcome of counselling sessions or any issues arising from the interactions between clients and therapists. Any complaints or disputes between you and the therapist should be handled directly with the therapist, as the Platform is not involved in the therapeutic process.

 

 

 

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between the Client and the Platform or between the Client and the therapist should first be attempted to be resolved informally. If a resolution is not reached, the matter may be escalated to mediation or arbitration as outlined in the Platform’s dispute resolution procedures.

 

10. Force Majeure

The Platform is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events outside its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, technical failures, pandemics, or government regulations. The Platform will make reasonable efforts to resolve issues promptly in such circumstances.

 

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Platform reserves the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any significant changes will be communicated to you, and continued use of the services after such changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
